I think I'm in Love

Oh my goodness....I think I'm in Love look who's come to stay with me.
I've coveted one of these babies for a long time and last weekend we visited a fabulous shop called Ampthill Antiques Emporium.Oh my goodness what a place it was 3 floors of antiques and vintage goodies I didn't know where to look first. I will certainly be going back again, it was impossible to take in all the goodies.
I will ask if I can take some pictures next time. They had a great section of vintage clothes sadly all to small for me.
I think vintage clothes are more suited to this beautiful lady than to me.
Okay what should her name be ? should she even have a name?
As my daughter told me...your weird mum !!!
Weird me.........hah
So come on some suggestions please, I've had Fleur, Marilyn (cause she curvy obviously) Lacey (my Husbands suggestion !!!) and I need some more so please join me in naming this beautiful (impossibly thin waisted) lady.

  1. Norma! It was MM's real name and I like to give pretty things not so pretty names! Oh and ita not wierd to name things. The lady's voice on my sat nav is called ursula!

  2. What a lovely little blog you have here. Your sides are too cute. Off to poke around more here and see what I've been missing.

    Kate - The Garden Bell

  3. Hi - just popped back to thank you for your advice on the photos - roll on sunny weather. It was great to read your post today I have been meaning to go to Ampthill for a while now - two other places I mean to check out are Berkhamstead and wendover, both supposed to be good.
As for names I like Lacey, but how about Milly as in the film "Thoroughly Modern Milly" - Have a good weekend xx

  4. Oh you lucky thing! She is fantastic - but yes she does need a name -

I think she should be Miss Blossom after the dressmakers dummy in 'I Capture the Castle' lol :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment - ta for the tea :)

  5. OH you lucky girl - she's beautiful!!!! And she does need a name. Something fancy like Isabella, maybe? I am green with envy!

  6. She is gorgeous.....
    A simple name...perhaps just Missy..
    Julia ♥

  7. Just beautiful - I can see why you had to have her. Hope you find the perfect name!

  8. Ooh, I think Scarlett, as in O'Hara. I am sure she must have had one of those tiny waists in history! x

  9. Just popping by to say thanks for your lovely comment on my blog - I've enjoyed reading your last few posts - I don't know why but when I saw your lovely new acquisition I thought of the name Yvette as I think she looks slightly Parisienne:)

  10. Emmanuelle, because she looks French :)
i would LOVE one of these to drape my necklaces and scalves over :)

  11. She's absolutely gorgeous. I think everything should have a name - lots of my things have names including my car and my computer! I agree with Claire than she looks French, so how about Claudine? Fifi? Camille? Francine? Minette? You get the general idea! :-)

  12. What a wonderful find! That sounds my kind of shop.
    What about Curvaceous Cora..(Cor!a)...get it?

    Bellaboo :o)

  13. Oh she is beautiful! I love the name Zoey!!!

  14. Yes, she does look a bit French. I have a smaller (no bum) wicker one called Eliza! Love your butterflies.

  15. G'day, sweetie ~ OMG! I was so surprised to see you live in MK, we spent a WHOLE WEEK in MK, my DH was working there. Rather unique modern structures unexpected for England. Spent a lot of time in the shopping mall.

Your blog is lovely ... you aren't doing anything wrong.

How about Miss 'T', like Misty ... or Lola, va-va-voom! You should have a small giveaway & get people to enter offering name suggestions AND have your followers post of the giveaway on their blogs ... the best way to draw is to not have all those complicated RULES, just simply leave a comment ... it would be fun & you'd meet new people.

Tap into my followers telling them I sent you over ... inviting them to join you. Go visit Sherry @ countrywingsinphoenix, she's got a great following & tell her I sent you, she's a good friend with a fun & whimsical blog.

If you would like to chat further ~

TY for popping over, I am your new follower.

  16. Your comment on my Maisey picture made me laugh - funny how you can miss these things - Hope all's well with you - what name did you choose? - xx

  17. Hi Karen thanks for popping over to my blog. Well here I am as invited :)

Lovely mannequin you have there. I like the name Fleur as already suggested or maybe Ivy

  18. Wish I had such a tiny waist :) I think the same name as my polysterene head lady would be suitable, Dolores - very blowsy sounding.
    twiggy xx

  19. Hmmm, Isabella? Don't know why I thought of it - perhaps because she looks European?
