Just to prove to you I do sew sometimes I'm making this lap quilt, actually its going to go over the arm of my sofa, the colours go really well with my living room. I love the combination of colours here. It was a jelly roll that I received as a gift last Christmas. Yes it has taken me this long to use it, I'm very bad......The jelly rolls are very good for me as I hate cutting out, I'm not very accurate and these rolls are pre-cut, easy really.I'm also incorporating some stitcheries, just little sentiments that make me smile.

  1. Oh, Karen, it looks wonderful! Don't feel bad. I have Jelly rolls I have bought, and also charm packs I have bought and received as gifts, and I just hate to use them! I'm 'saving' them....don't know what for....they're pretty to look at...yay, that's it!

I'm quilting a quilt for my sweetie I made yesterday. So far, it's going great. I guess those prayers to God are working!

    Have a great day!

  5. Hi Karen,
I too, am bad at using jelly roll etc...they are so good to look at and its hard to cut them up. I think adding favourite sayings to your quilt is an excellent idea. It will be lovely.

  6. Karen, that will be a beauty! It takes me forever to get projects done. I have to work on whatever fancy strikes me at the moment.

What a nice crafting space you have created. Couldn't hubby just get by with maybe 2 outfits so you could have more space? LOL

So glad you are back to blogging!

  7. I don't think there's anything wrong in not using things quickly - sometimes I've kept something in a box for years and then the perfect moment to use it arrives! This one is going to look great...

  10. Karen, Stopping by to send Holiday Greetings your way! I loved your comment about your "children" waiting that one special moment on Christmas morning. Mine do the same, and Heaven forbid if Dad's coffee brewing wasn't in the air. Love, love all the "Moments that are the Same." Elizabeth
